Hand Washing Stations ~

Arusha, Tanzania

WaterBridge Outreach has worked with The Foundation for Tomorrow on several projects, including publishing books in Kiswahili and the construction of washrooms for Sinon Primary School in Tanzania. During the COVID pandemic the need for hand sanitization was critical. With funds provided by WBO, TFFT distributed hand washing stations and conducted soap making workshops in 13 schools serving over 16,000 primary students in Arusha lacking both soap and washing facilities. Under the slogan “Clean hands save lives!” students were educated in the proper way to wash their hands in order to prevent the spread of infection. They then shared their effective hand-washing techniques throughout their households and communities.
