Holiday Greetings from WaterBridge Outreach: Books + Water
A Holiday Message to Friends of WaterBridge Outreach: Books + Water (WBO)
from all of us on the WBO Team:
In this Season of Giving we wish you all happy holidays and the very best in the New Year! Special thanks to you who have given to support our grassroots efforts in 2014 to bring books, water, and sanitation to children in acute need of these resources—and we hope that others of you will join us in 2015!
Your donations allow us to carry forward our grassroots projects – and they really are grassroots projects! As you will see from the Projects Now tab on our website these projects have moved out further this year. They include books and water outreach in collaboration with FAR (Folk Arts Rajasthan) in Rajasthan, northwest India, and in Arusha, northeast Tanzania in collaboration with TFFT (The Foundation For Tomorrow). We have also continued with more wells, reverse osmosis projects, and mobile libraries in Tamil Nadu, southeast India, in collaboration with SAVE INT’L (South Asian Village Empowerment Int’l), and with rainwater catchment systems and books in Creole in Lagonav, Haiti, in collaboration with Friends of Matènwa, as well as sending books to numerous schools in various countries, including Malaysia, Pakistan, and the Philippines!
Please have a look at the news and video on the WBO site regarding the Dagdag Dunong Reading Center in the Philippines, where, in the midst of hardship and poverty, the smiles and hope of the children shine through. We see there the crucial importance of the teachers and donors to the project.
We invite you follow our projects on the WBO website and to sign up below to receive our e- newsletters and hope that you even consider helping us develop our work further (click on the Donate tab above). If there is a particular project to which you would like to contribute, do not hesitate to tell us. Thank you again and every best wish for the holiday season and for the coming New Year!
